Studio San Giuseppe Art Gallery co-op design work
From January 2024 to May 2025, I was in charge of branding the Studio San Giuseppe art gallery's promotional posters for each Art Exhibition, as well as any promotional material needed for events held within the SSG Art Gallery. This also included creating social media content for the @ssg_artgallery Instagram account.
I created the designs for Senior Thesis 2024, FotoFocus 2024, and Senior Thesis 2025 art exhibitions. Working with various well-known artists, such as Michael Thompson, Jim Tucker, Emily Wiethorn, Michaelann Kelley, and many more! With each show my main goal was to create something visually captivating. This would be captured through many formats, such as color, contrast, texture, and visual hierarchy

Senior Thesis 2024
Work began on the Senior Thesis poster in February 2024. The theme right off the bat was to use the graduating seniors, fish swimming down the Ohio River leading into the ocean, representing their growth into a bigger body of water. Throughout this process, I had to communicate with the 13 Seniors to receive a headshot, bio, and a fun fact from each of them. This information would be used for the promotional poster in conjunction with the Senior Thesis Plaques, which each senior would receive as a part of their thesis installation.

Senior Thesis 2024 Drafts
The first poster is a rough draft where I took the basic colors, design, and layout for the poster to start to figure out where the positioning would be located. The second design is a flat vector graphic rendition. This now includes the MSJ and SSG logo towards the bottom, with information regarding the reception being added. The final draft features all the photos, fonts, and layout. The final rendition of the poster would remove the corner sunlight, reposition the text, swap Fine Arts and Art Education for a better hierarchy, and move the gallery reception information next to the Senior Thesis 2024 logo.
The last element I created for the 2024 Senior Thesis exhibition was a PowerPoint presentation that would play on loop in the gallery. This would showcase the artist's bio statement, photographs of their Senior Thesis and the Senior Thesis 2024 logo.
After the Senior Thesis Exhibition, I swapped the graphic for a "Celebrating Our SeniorsOur Seniors" statement to show the gallery's appreciation for the hard work they produced and the future careers they would go into.

FotoFocus 2024 "As It Was Meant To Be Told: Asian American Artists on Selfhood and Belonging"
Work on "As It Was Meant To Be Told: Asian American Artists on Selfhood and Belonging", curated by Emily Wiethorn, began on August 23, 2024, and was finalized on September 9, 2024. My process for this was to feature the artist's pieces as the main focal point, use a muted color scheme to let the artist's work stand out against the white background, and align with the general theme the pieces went for.
FotoFocus 2024 Drafts
The first poster design is a very rough blockout of what I planned to do with the poster. Featuring the four artists' pieces in a grid, with their names under the row they appear in. The "logo" for the event had a text hierarchy to put more emphasis on "AAPI Artists..." and the background was inspired by FotoFocus's branding in 2024, with the colorful background of a solidified gradient. The second draft featured the finalized art, final name placement, and furthur information provided for when the exhibition would be on display and the gallery reception. The final draft features the final layout, design, with the only change being that the background would be changed to a solid cream white, all text was swapped from white to black, the Mount St. Joseph University logo was changed to the colored varient and the "SSG" Logo would have a stroke added to the S to allow it to be used on white backgrounds.
Assemblage: A Juried Exhibition
Assemblage: A Juried Exhibition began planning in October 2024 and was finalized in January 2025. The focus of this show was that it comprised random objects being assembled into one cohesive art piece. My original idea for this was to create a background inspired by I-Spy, creating a huge piece that would play with the theme due to time constraints. This was unable to happen.
The idea of assemblage stayed in the background, being an assemblage of various photos of some objects used and texture work to make it appear put together. The bright neon colors are the polar opposite of the weather in the environment. The colors would also allow for the pieces to grab your attention, leading the viewer to read more below.

Promotional material was created to advertise the exhibition to the followers on our Instagram account. The opportunity graphic was also used by the MSJ Art & Design and Jim Tucker's Instagram account for promotion. The two poster graphics were used on Instagram to build interest in the show.
This certificate was created for all 40 of those who were a part of the Juried Exhibition! Proudly displaying the gallery's name, the exhibition's name, the person who received the award's name, the month and year it was received, and the signature of Dr. Kelley, who is the gallery director and a chair at Mount St. Joseph University

Senior Thesis 2025
Work began on the Senior Thesis poster in January 2025. The original theme I had intended for this project (seen in drafts) was to represent the journey the seniors went, climbing a mountain, and being able to see how far they've come from the bottom. This concept would not be realized; instead, it was decided that the senior thesis poster should be a more abstract modern approach. Using the tints and tones of blue and white are the colors used throughout the piece.
I was also tasked to create various promotional items for this. Such as plaques, TV Graphics, and Instagram content.
