Mallline
Mallline an endeavor where I wanted to take something from the past that could still be beneficial while bringing it into a modern, tech-inclined future. Third Spaces are on the decline, and that was the main inspiration behind this project. Creating something that serves a practical purpose, showcases a wide range of design abilities, and pays homage to the iconic malls of years past.
The two boards are meant to represent two distinct positions of Mallline, one featuring an advertisement to join the online mall! Allowing viewers and those interested to see what Mallline is all about, positioning those to scan and join Mallline. The second board features the classic mall directory to fully visualize what Mallline has to offer. From the food court, stores, and the general layout. This directory allows you to fully understand what Mallline has to offer from a shopping standpoint.
Early Concepts
The initial concept of 'Mallline' was first written down on May 27, 2025. My original plan was to create a futuristic shopping mall, creating a digital storefront for businesses. By the time production would begin on Mallline, the concept would change from a digital storefront to a Virtual Mall.

The construction of Mallline would begin on October 22, 2025, originally built in Blender. Featured below is the block-out phase of Mallline for what would become 'Crater Corner', with concept art of Crater Corner on the original intention of the facade.

Mallline info board
Created to advertise what Mallline is all about, originally intended to feature a video was eventually scrapped for a QR code to the Mallline experience.

Original concept intended to feature a screen with a small QR code linking to the game.

After feedback a more online approach was added making it more evident at the top and background. At this point the video was scrapped.

Title text is turned to solid white, images are made larger to allow for visability, QR Code is inserted into the middle ment to mimick a circuit board.
Mallline directory board
Created to showcase the stores and layout of Mallline.

Original concepts, with the bottom one being chosen allowing it to stand out more
based upon its shape.

Final Mallline layout, final border, and introduction for the labeled sections and storefronts.

Final Mallline design, Lighter blue replaces the warmer background, more sections are added.
Mallline logo board
A symbol to make the logo of Mallline stand out on its own while also allowing for the info board to be equal to the directory board.

Original concept featuring the
logo directly attached to the
wall with neon strips to the
sides of the logo.

As apart of the iniuative to make the online aspect more prevalent a cursor was added pointing to mallline. The background element was added to have it function better with the info board.

The mouse cursor was removed to not take away from the logo and from the other two boards. The mallline logo was moved upwards to allow for the logo to appear as its breaking boundaries.
