Delhi Middle School; The Past to Present
In September 2025, I started working with the Delhi Historical Society to produce two banners that visualize a timeline of Delhi Middle School, using archival imagery and modern imagery shot for the timeline and the Delhi Historical Society's archive. On both September 22, 2025, and October 13, 2025, I went to Delhi Middle School to photograph the school for preservation in preparation for the demolition and renovation set to happen in 2027. The design is inspired by the architecture of Delhi Middle School, using the various tints and tones of brown for color, with the arch design being inspired by how the main entrance appears. Work was completed in February 2026 and will be on display from February 2026 to 2027.
Archival material is a mixture of the Delhi Historical Society's and Delhi Middle School's archives. Both of which were of tremendous help regarding documentation and allowed access to their archives.

Delhi Middle School Drafts

Shown are two distinct drafts produced during production. The selection of archival material was much larger at this point to make up for the limited selection I personally had on hand at this moment, whilst allowing Delhi Historical Society an easy vision of what I had in mind before finalized copies and placement were decided. This is a similar case to what was planned for the present panel for the Delhi Middle School which originally had a brick pattern, but this was dropped to allow for scaling down the images slightly, meaning more photos of the school would be seen.
Delhi Middle School Photography Samples

Shown is a small sample of the photographs used to preserve Delhi Middle School before its major renovation in the next few years. Being able to document this space that I had spent years of my life in was truly an amazing opportunity, and I am glad to have produced the work that I have for the Delhi Historical Society and Delhi Middle School.
