Bookman JF Merge Type

Merge Type was created for Swati Chopra's Merge Type project. We were tasked to create a 3 panel display discussing the typeface, creator of the typeface, and the merge type being created with a combination of the artist and the typeface. The work of Jason Walcott takes inspiration from nature and most importantly bugs. Within' the design of my merge type I wanted to make sure the merge type had an insect appearance whilst being evident that the merge type features "Bookman JF". 
 

The overall theme and colors of the piece was to give an warm and inviting feel with the merge type being insect themed I made sure that it had warmer, more muted tones. Also made sure that the piece flows between the three panels. Creating a seamless transition between the panels.
